Galaxy S7 Active Rugged Version Of Galaxy S7

The Active range of Galaxy phones was born out of necessity. It first appeared in 2013 as a waterproof, rugged version of the company's then-flagship Galaxy S4. Each iteration of the "S" line since has been accompanied by an Active variant.

The company last year however, restricted its launch to just the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and the Galaxy S6 Active.  The South Korean giant now once again is expected to launch an 'Active' variant in the Galaxy S7 series, thanks to the mention of the device in the Google Play listing of a Samsung app.

Despite the fact that both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones are water and dust resistant to IP68 (which means they are rated for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes), it seems that Samsung has a Galaxy S7 Active in the pipeline.

The smartphone not only packed a larger 3,500mAh cell inside its hood, it had also passed several certifications such as the following:
  • IP68 certified: Dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes
  • MIL-STD-810G certified: Salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant.
There is some indication that the S7 Active might be limited to AT&T customers only. Other than the listing on the Samsung app changelog, there is nothing else known about the S7 Active at this time. It’s unclear what sort of hardware will be inside, presumably the same as the other S7 devices but who knows for sure.

Trevor Noah Head trumped by Trump

Trevor Noah delivered a scathing rebuke to the (rest of the) media, whom he blamed in large part for the phenomenon that is Trump.Answering the question, Noah blamed the media for the controversial and unqualified contender's consideration as a serious nominee.

Reports quote Noah as saying "the media loves Trump because covering [him] makes the media money". But there's one problem with Noah's claim:

Did the news media really prop up Trump, or did Trump's dramatic rise force the media to cover him? After all, Trump was leading the polls just one month after he announced his campaign.Trump was the only person who gave those people a voice in the presidential race.

She wore a beige pantsuit with wide-brimmed cowboy hat and he wore a red and black plaid flannel shirt. Cute!
